Tonya D. Armstrong, Ph.D., M.T.S.
I am a licensed psychologist and founder of The Armstrong Center for Hope (www.armstrongcfh.com), an interdisciplinary group practice in Durham, NC, providing psychological and spiritual wellness for all ages. Additionally, I am the Minister of Congregational Care and Counseling at Union Baptist Church and the Dean of the Counseling Studies Department at Apex School of Theology. I hold a double-major in psychology and music from Yale University, a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (magna cum laude) from Duke University Divinity School. I am the President-Elect of the North Carolina Psychological Association. In my leisure time, I enjoy laughing, harmonizing, and traveling with my husband of 26 years and our two children.
